Where did all the time go in 2025? Every year, the days, weeks and months between the beginning and the end of the year seem to rush by at an accelerated pace. The feeling of how time is experienced is as much subjective as it is objective when we check the actual time on our phones. Earlier in life, I was told, the older you get,the faster life goes; I also heard the old saying of “time flies when you’re having fun.” For an end of the year question to ponder: Does that mean here in Sun City Roseville, that the faster our life goes, the more fun we’re having?
The Sun City Roseville Foundation Board has been busy and time did fly for 2025. It literally feels like just last week we were assessing community needs and planning for the year. We will recap and summarize our participation in different grants and programs sometime during January when the end of the calendar year 2025 information will be available.
We have already moved our calendars enthusiastically into 2026 and look forward to new and creative ways to support our Sun City Roseville neighbors through the Foundation. An example of this is our hope to work, when possible, in more collaborative partnering with some already existing Clubs and Groups. “The power of a team pulling together for the same goal, striving to reach a common destination, is far greater than the sum of its parts.” Plaque – Bantry Co. Save the Date: Our first BINGO fundraiser of 2026, will be on Sunday, January 18th. We will be selling tickets on Courier Day (check date Jan 2nd). We are experimenting with materials in our new literature rack by the library. Along with Foundation information and resources, what we put in the rack, will be based on what we think might be helpful to residents. If you have input on what would be helpful, please let us know at scrfoundationjw@gmail.com
In the spirit of community collaboration with our Veterans and Patriots Club the Foundation needs help to answer this question. How many Veterans or surviving spouses of Veterans need caregiving support.? If you have that need, or know another resident that does, please contact us at scrfoundationej@gmail.com. You do not have to be an official member of Veterans and Patriots to respond.
